As a recent bride, Lindsay understands weddings!  She knows first hand what your concerns and fears are, and can help you find the vendors you need to make your wedding worry-free.  She has extensive experience planning and coordinating weddings and makes planning a wedding fun instead of stressful.  We feel very fortunate to have Lindsay as part of our Great Oaks team.  I tried to get Lindsay to give me a photo of Suzy, her new rescue puppy so I could put it in the blog, but she didn't think Suzy cared much about weddings or that you would care that Suzy's cute face was on here!  But, as we all know, how you treat animals shows what type of person you really are.  Lindsay loves animals. She used to work in a Vet's office. Great Oaks Manor loves animals too.  Our pets are all rescued also. Only one of them loves weddings, however!  That would be Tiger Lily, the kitty rescued from a busy street in Kingwood.  The dogs could care less "yawn" about weddings. Tiger Lily loves our weddings so much that we have to lock her in the third floor owner's quarters before and during every wedding. If we didn't, she would be the life of the party, making sure she approved of all your guests!  So you will probably never meet Tiger Lily.  But she will be looking out the big third floor window, making sure all the decorations are straight, and everything is perfect.  Then, with everything looking perfect, she'll curl up on our bed and go to sleep.

I am passionate about what I do. Seeing the purest smile on the face of every groom as his future bride walks down the isle towards him is something I’m blessed to experience on a regular basis. I love it. I love that I get to lend a hand in making dreams come true. Dreams that brides have had since they were little girls and trying on Mom’s old wedding gown. Being a wedding coordinator is not a job to me. It’s a privilege and because I treasure it so much I have made it my personal mission to ensure that my clients’ dreams come true. I believe each wedding should be a direct reflection of the couple’s personality. It’s my top priority to get to know my clients so I can instantly relieve the stress and confusion that naturally comes when planning a wedding. 

Tammy and Bob had a beautiful wedding here on the afternoon of October 15. We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather. The air was crisp and the sun was shining as Tammy walked down the isle which was decorated in festive fall colors. Tammy was gorgeous and it was written all over Bob’s face… he was smiling ear to ear and couldn’t stop!

The bride and groom decided to have our Asian Action station as the main course for their guests. I must say it was definitely a delicious treat to the taste buds! It’s no surprise to say their cake was delicious as well. Our baker never lets us down. The couple also had cupcakes available for their guests which were a BIG hit!

Tammy & Bob, thank you so much for giving us the honor of having your wedding at Great Oaks Manor. It was a pleasure witnessing your happiness. We hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon!

Hello to all of our beautiful brides both potential and already signed! We haven’t posted in over two months…YIKES! Although I have to admit we haven’t been laying around basking in the sun. We have been busy, busy, BUSY! We have been giving our already pretty venue a facelift to make it even more gorgeous.  The staff at Great Oaks Manor is particularly excited about our new office which will be Tiffany blue and white with silver accents! Since this is where the majority of our time is spent I’m sure you can see why we are so excited…I mean come on, it’s Tiffany blue! Every girl loves that color especially when it’s in the form of a tiny little box Aside from all of the remodeling we have been running around trying to make everything perfect for our fall busy season. Typically October and November are our busiest fall months and this year has definitely proved that to be true! We are anxious to see our brides’ visions come to life on each of their special days. It is always exciting to see our venue transform into our bride’s individual personalities with the beautiful decor and life the vendors give it.Our holiday and spring busy seasons are booking up quick!
